The Hare and the Turtle

Image
" The Hare and the Turtle " The Hare boasted Of its speed and said, "Oh dear Turtle , Oh dear Turtle-head . Let us race To the mountain-top. You shall walk slow, While I shall hop."  Not minding The Hare 's talk, The Turtle began To slowly walk. Much ahead Of the Turtle now, The Hare felt Tired somehow. Thinking that the Turtle Would never reach there, The Hare took a nap, The Over-confident Hare . The Turtle kept walking With the same slow pace. 'N' while the Hare was asleep The Turtle won the race. MORAL of the Story :- Even if the Hare Was fast and ready, The race was won By the slow and steady.                         ✎Shravani Kelapure Today's Talk : Moral of the story in actual words is-" Slow and steady wins the race . " This is another folktale that all of us have heard, either as stories or songs. Today is 21st June, International Yoga Day, Father's Day, and an annular-solar-eclipse day . Today, the ec...

Today's Thoughts..

15 June 2020, Monday… The rains have reached their peak today. It has been raining throughout the day and is still raining. When, before the pandemic, it used to rain after the school used to be over, it was more fun than ever. We used to get wet and protect our precious school bags. There was no fear at all, and no social distancing. Social distancing is practically impossible in my school-transport case. We had a van, a small one. We were around 12 people in the same van, adjusting with difficulty. It was almost ‘ minus social distancing ’ J . It used to be too humid and hot in the van during summers. When it rained, we all used to be wet and stuck to each other on top of it. But still, it was fun when all of us, with no differences in age and grades, used to play ‘ dumb sheraz ’ and ‘ Japanese whisper ’ . When our teachers were teaching, all students used to suddenly look out of the window when: --It used to start...

The Boy Who

Image
"The Boy Who"   He was a boy not very fond of What his elders always said. About studying sincerely and then Quickly going to bed. His parents scolded him For he never washed his hands. And even if he did, He would dry them on his pant. Once he went to a party, And his favourite food he ate. He ate it with his bare hands Directly from his plate!! Suddenly he got a stomach ache And gave a shrill cry, "Who made the cheese pasta? Who made the pumpkin pie?!" The chef came running towards him To see what was the matter. "I did sir,",he said, "But alright was the batter.." The boy ran back home And told everyone he saw, "I know what is the mistake, I know what is the flaw!" "I will wash my hands from now And do whatever you say. For what you tell me everytime Is correct anyway." He said this to his parents Who hugged their sweet son, For he was a boy nice and good Who had learnt a big lesson.                           ...
