Today's Thoughts..
15 June 2020, Monday…
The rains have reached their peak today. It
has been raining throughout the day and is still raining.
When, before the pandemic, it used to rain
after the school used to be over, it was more fun than ever. We used to get wet
and protect our precious school bags. There was no fear at all, and no social
distancing.
Social distancing is practically impossible
in my school-transport case. We had a van, a small one. We were around 12
people in the same van, adjusting with difficulty. It was almost ‘minus
social distancing’J.
It used to be too humid and hot in the van
during summers. When it rained, we all used to be wet and stuck to each other
on top of it. But still, it was fun when all of us, with no differences in age
and grades, used to play ‘dumb
sheraz’ and ‘Japanese
whisper’.
When our teachers were teaching, all students
used to suddenly look out of the window when:
--It used to start raining heavily.
--Some teacher from another class would shout
at the top of her voice.
--The Nagpur Metro would pass from the the “Jhansi
rani chowk”
in front of our school.
--etc.
..and our teacher used to get annoyed.
The
lunch break is another story. We would mix-n-match each others’ lunch
and food, and then eat with full delight. When leaving from school we used to
sit in the van and open the complementary lunch boxes(containing our favorite
snacks) , and, again, eat with more delight. Well, at least for me, food is an
all-time-delight .

I miss school, friends, teaching, pranks,
competitions and fun.
But the most important thing right now seems
to be taking care of our physical and mental health, our famiy, and take
precautions against the rapidly-spreading corona virus disease.
With over 3 lakh active CoViD19 cases, India
is surely in a difficult situation. Along with the same, the number of
recovered people has reached 1 lakh+ and the rate of recovery is approx. 50%,
which is good news.
Take precautions, stay hygienic, stay immune, stay healthy, stay HOME, stay SAFE.
